I° Edizione Taormina Burlesque Festival

La prima edizione del Taormina Burlesque Festival si è svolta il 22 e 23 settembre 2018 a Taormina.

La manifestazione ha ospitato oltre 40 performer provenienti da tutto il mondo.

Il pubblico ha accolto con grande entusiasmo la manifestazione.

L’evento è stato aperto dal “Vintage Afternoon” una sfilata di auto storiche e abiti vintage. Le auto storiche, con a bordo le performer del Taormina Burlesque Festival sono partite da Taormina per recarsi a Castelmola in piazza Sant’ Antonino, luogo in cui si è svolta la sfilata per decretare la vincitrice del “Best Vintage Style”. Le Partecipanti hanno indossato abiti di epoche differenti che abbracciavano un periodo che va dal 1900 al 1970.

L’edizione 2018 è stata vinta dalla splendida Racy Ros che indossava un abito in pieno stile anni ’50.

Gli eventi serali si sono svolti presso il cinema teatro Olimpia a Taormina e sono stati condotti dalla “Padrona di Casa” Roberta Pennisi in arte Lady Roberta Kent produttrice della manifestazione, e dall’attore siciliano Gianluca Barbagallo che con la sua comicità ha divertito il pubblico presente.

La prima serata, il 22 settembre, è stata dedicata alla “Contest Night”.

Ad aggiudicarsi il premio “Lady Burlesque Taormina” è stata la splendida Zoe Bizoe dal Belgio che con il suo act “The bird of Paradise” ha conquistato pubblico e giudici.

"Best Costume" Amaurous Ava dalla Nuova Zelanda con l’act “Half and Half”
"Best Classic Act" Scarlet O' Honey dalla Germania con l’act “Flamingo”
"Best Comic Act" Zoe Bizoe dal Belgio con l’act “Bird of Paradise”
"Best Innovative act" Astrid Wanderlust dall’Italia con l’act “The Chimera”

Al termine del contest si è esibita la nostra splendida Special Guest Miss Sugar Rush dall’Inghilterra e la nostra Headliner Koko La Douce dalla Svizzera.

Il 23 settembre si è tenuto il Gala Show con performer rinomate del panorama nazionale ed internazionale del burlesque.

22/23 September 2018 1st Edition Taormina Burlesque Festival

The first edition of the Taormina Burlesque Festival took place on 22 and 23 September 2018 in Taormina.The event hosted over 40 performers from all over the world. The public welcomed the event with great enthusiasm.

The event was opened by "Vintage Afternoon", a parade of historic cars and vintage clothes. The historic cars, with the performers of the Taormina Burlesque Festival on board, left from Taormina to go to Castelmola in Piazza Sant ’Antonino, where the parade was held to declare the winner of the" Best Vintage Style ".

Participants wore clothes from different eras spanning a period from 1900 to 1970.The 2018 edition was won by the splendid Racy Ros who wore a dress in full 1950s style.

The evening events took place at the Olimpia cinema theater in Taormina and were conducted by the “Mistress of the House” Roberta Pennisi, aka Lady Roberta Kent, producer of the event, and by the Sicilian actor Gianluca Barbagallo, who amused the audience with her comedy here I'm.The first evening, 22 September, was dedicated to the "Contest Night".

To win the "Lady Burlesque Taormina" prize was the splendid Zoe Bizoe from Belgium who with her act "The bird of Paradise" won over the public and the judges.
